Hey Y'all! I'm Laynie! Smart Me Kid Laynie, that is! Smart Me Kid Melia and I call ourselves besties! That means best friends. I live in Florida. I met Melia when her family moved to the Tampa Bay, Florida, area. We first met at a hip hop dance class we were both in. I know that Melia has a disability called Down syndrome, so I was super impressed when I saw her awesome dance moves. I went up to her after dance class one day, introduced myself, and told her that I think she is an amazing dancer! We have been besties ever since! Like Melia, I love to dance, but I also enjoy playing the piano and swimming. I would like to be an environmental engineer when I grow up! An environmental engineer helps find answers to environmental problems, especially at construction sites, where things are being built, like roads, bridges, and buildings. I can't wait to wear a hard hat! But first, I have to work hard in reading and math at school so that I can be prepared for the harder classes, like chemistry, biology, and geology, in high school and college.
